Art Images FAQ

Q
Will my images have a copyright in a viewable area of the images?
A
Yes they will unless there is an agreement to release the rights to the image(s) also know as a "full rights buyout" or a "Royalty-Free License".

Q
What does "Full Rights Buyout, Royalty Free and Rights Managed" mean?
A
This is a term used in the control of an image(s). If Foto Images maintains the rights to an image in any form (portrait, commercial, aerial, CD email, etc. the client cannot use that image for any purpose other than what is specified in an agreement form which is also known as a "Rights Managed" license. A violation is an infringement on a copyright. If Foto Images releases it's rights to an image (in most cases sells) the client is free to use that image in any form and as often as they wish with out any connections to Foto Images. This is known as a "Royalty Free" agreement.
