There are a number of variables involved in commercial photography and its uses.
For example; Images may be licensed "Rights Managed" where Foto Images retains the
exclusive rights to the image (copyright). There is also the option of a "Royalty-Free" license.
There are display and presentation options for instance "private and public usage".
Are the images to be presented as an enlargement, emailed or produced on a cd?
How long and what other entities will use them? ("Rights Managed")
There are day rates, 1/2 day rates, assignment based and hourly rates.
Image release requirements (model release).
An organization may hire us on a "work for hire" basis (client retains the rights to an image).

As you can see there are many options. In any case the client is required to purchase a license or in some cases
the option of "full rights buyout" (rare cases) in which Foto Images gives up it's image rights.
All of the above have to be agreed upon through a contract and a model release if necessary.
